Earlier this year, defrauded investors Mary Beth Heinert and Richard H. Schultz, Jr. filed a class action in Rochester New York federal court to seek ompensatory and punitive damages for themselves and approximately 637 victims of a Ponzi scheme in which investors were defrauded a sum total of approximately $102 million. This Ponzi scheme, led by Perry Santillo, was discovered last fall. Among the defendants are two banks which Plaintiffs assert knew of the fraud and substantially assisted the main fraudsters to perpetrate and conceal their crimes.

Santiago Burger LLP joins the law firms of Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton LLP and Gilligan, Gooding, Franjola & Batsel, PA as counsel for the class.
