MICHAEL ADAM BURGER
Trust and Estate Litigation
J.D., Hofstra University School of Law
B.A., Foreign Affairs, University of Virginia
Michael began his legal career at the New York City bar, representing individual clients before trial and appellate courts in a variety of civil and criminal matters including impact litigation designed to bring about systemic change. In 1999, Mike moved to Rochester, New York (to follow and marry the love of his life, Anne), but continues to serve his "downstate" clients at "upstate" rates.
Mike has gained client and peer recognition as a Business Litigation "Super Lawyer" and often acts as special or trial counsel, collaborating with other lawyers who face discrete litigated issues related to their clients cases. Mike solves problems and loves doing it.
Clients seeking Mike's advice and representation have included shareholders, partners, LLC members, employers and employees, executors, administrators, trustees, other fiduciaries and agents facing a wide range of legal issues including will and trust contests, shareholder disputes, entity dissolution proceedings, power of attorney abuse, and alleged breach of fiduciary duty. A small portion of Mike's practice remains dedicated to defending people against unconstitutional laws and government overreach.
No matter the case, Mike's clients have come to comfortably rely upon Mike's innate ability to readily adapt to developments in real time.
In addition to his law practice, Mike lectures before the bar and occasionally writes a column addressing some of the legal issues he encounters.
