Experience:

​

Fernando began his career as a litigator at a large Philadelphia law firm which had a national practice. There, he litigated cases pending throughout the United States with and against some of the biggest law firms in the country. After starting a family, he returned to his home area of Upstate New York.

​

Fernando Santiago focuses his practice on litigation within New York State and Federal Courts. His clients include individuals, small businesses, and even publicly traded corporations. His practice areas consist of insurance coverage disputes, construction litigation, design liability defense, and contract and commercial litigation.  He also represents clients in other areas including, corporate counseling and labor and employment law, and employment litigation.  Fernando has had the benefit of representing both individuals and companies, employers and employees, and insurance companies and policyholders.  Understanding hotly contested matters from all perspectives provides insights into effective litigation strategy and resolutions.

Mr. Santiago has published a number of articles and has lectured in a variety of areas including insurance law, design-build, and construction law.  Mr. Santiago is listed in “Super Lawyers,” and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America.  He was also recognized as one of Rochester, New York’s “40 Under 40.”

Mr. Santiago devotes substantial to the community by serving on several nonprofit boards and organizations, including the following entities:
